Technical Writer

3Shape A/S is a Danish hi-tech company specializing in the production and development of 3D solutions (3D scanners and 3D software) for industrial and healthcare applications, such as hearing and dental aid production, where we have a global leading position.Two graduate students founded 3Shape in the year 2000, and today the company's fast-growing team of 1000+ employees in 20 offices worldwide (Denmark, Germany, Poland, Ukraine, USA etc.) is serving customers in over 100 countries.

We are looking for an experienced Technical Writer who can rapidly adapt to our specialized software products and be responsible for writing technical documentation, including user manuals based on input from the developers.

You should have experience:

• In creating user manuals for software products in English.
• Be a practicing writer and communicator with grammatically correct English.
• Help Authoring Tools and Techniques (HATT), preferably RoboHelp or Madcap Flare.
• Image capturing and editing software tools.
• Expertise in using MS Office.

You should possess the following personal competencies:

• Proficient in written and spoken English. Able to study, analyze and describe complex technical issues in a clear, concise and plain language.
• Previous experience in creating user manuals for complex software products in English is a must.
• High-level organizational and time management skills.
• Strong understanding of technical material and attention to details.
• Excellent communication skills and creative mind.
• Have interest in hardware and software technologies.
• Ability to work independently and in a team while meeting deadlines.
• Awareness in a routine of delivering high quality results while avoiding errors.

It would be a plus if you have:

• Technical education background
• Knowledge of HTML
• Knowledge of RoboHelp
• Knowledge of dental or medical related industries
• Experience living/working/studying in an English-speaking country

The job will require that you:

• Have an open and friendly personality, comfortable with approaching colleagues for questions.
• Experienced in interviewing people to efficiently collect key information.
• Able to perform efficiently, calmly, be organized even under pressure and tight deadlines.
