System Administrator

You will participate in a 24/7 operations team that operates, monitors, maintain and troubleshoots our global cloud service operations. Our focus is on assuring reliable and predictable operations; we prefer to do things right and then only need to do them once.

As the cloud software we operate is our own, the operations team closely collaborates with the development and QA teams to ensure that any problem uncovered in production gets resolved properly and in a timely manner.

Work hours:

You will work 40 hours per week on a shift schedule. The working week is four days of 10 hours, then three days off. As you are part of a 24/7 operations team you should expect to sometimes work on holidays, but you can always trade shifts with your colleagues.

Requirements

• Good working verbal and written English
• Solid Ubuntu (or other) Linux experience
• Troubleshooting and shell usage
• Structure and discipline
• Clean criminal record

Would be a plus

• Experience with Postgres and Pacemaker/Corosync
• Networking skills; firewalling, NAT, VLAN, ...
• Familiarity with ITIL, ISO27001, ISAE3402
