Senior Linux System Administrator

Required knowledge and experience:

• 5+ years experience supporting Linux Systems;
• University degree in computer science (preferable);
• Experience with CentOS or RHEL;
• Experience with Openstack and Kubernetes
• Good experience with high availability and failover clustering from different perspectives (OS, application, hardware);
• Experience in supporting streaming environments (preferable);
• Experience with MySQL, MongoDB, 
• Experience with message queues - RabbitMQ;
• Experience with system performance monitoring and tuning.
• Experience with Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus

What is expected of you:

• Consult on new system requirements and take part in the architectural design phase;
• Research and recommend technologies and tools for systems administration tasks;
• Install and document new systems and application servers;
• Operate, update, maintain and monitor environments on a daily basis;
• Define, improve, document standard operational procedures where needed;
• Troubleshoot environments and correct issues;
• Perform periodic reporting of performance and tuning actions for assigned systems;
• Write automation and monitoring scripts.

Schedule: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday, as follows: a fixed schedule in which the employee must be at work, namely from 11:00 to 17:30 and a flexible 2 hours schedule. This includes a lunch break of 30 (thirty) minutes and it will be included into the working time. Adaptations are available for the remote colleague.

Vacation Policy: The duration of the annual vacation is of 21 (twenty-one) days. Every employee is entitled to a 10 consecutive days vacation/year. The holiday leave is granted proportional to the number of days worked within the Company during one calendar year. The holiday leave an employee is entitled to shall be taken during the calendar year it was granted for.
