Junior Motion Designer

We are Eleken, a team of talented designers and developers who create world-class digital products for startups all over the world and we are looking for Motion Designer to join our creative family.

About the role:

Are you obsessed with motion and interfaces? Do you want not just to "animate those button", but to make something which will leave people speechless? Are you aware of scripts, additional plugins and various tricks that allow showing "wow" level interactions? Do you want to grow in motion design while working on top-notch products from all over the world? If yes, then we have just one more question for you: do you want to become a part of Eleken design and development team?

Responsibilities:

• Support the UX vision by producing nuanced and highly crafted motion and behavioral artifacts;

• Able to transform static 2D UI elements into rich, immersive visuals that come to life;

• Strive for uncompromised design fidelity while being mindful of production efficiency;

• Connect time-based visualizations along with UX prototyping approaches to illustrate interactivity

• Work closely with the rest of designers and developers to incorporate design assets into motion graphics;

• Create and deliver motion graphics in various media including web, mobile, etc.;

• Assist in selecting audio, video, colors, animation, etc. for designs;

Requirements:

• Experience using motion to reduce perceived latency;

• Knowledge of modern trends in the mobile apps UI design and good knowledge of the HIG together with design patterns;

• Knowledgeable of the 12 Principles of Animation and how they apply to modern animation;

• Ability to use motion to a narrative effect and understanding the future of interactive motion;

• Ability to focus on detailed aspects of motion and experience, often related to physics, patterns, and visual design elements. Ability to use motion to express sentimental or emotional experience;

• Excellent communication, presentation, conceptual, interpersonal and analytical skills;

• Portfolio of work demonstrating command of motion and interaction in web and/or mobile contexts;

• Strong fundamental design skills, including knowledge of typography, layout/composition, and color;

• Deep understanding of After Effects and fluency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Figma and Premiere;

• Upper-intermediate level of English;

Would be a plus

• Experience in 3D modeling in C4D, Maya, 3DMax or similar toolset will be a plus

• Comfortable with After Effects Expressions beyond copy/paste
