Senior DevOps (Team Lead) Engineer

Provectus on behalf of Model N is looking for a Senior (Team Lead) DevOps Engineer. Model N is the leading provider of Revenue Management solutions for the life sciences and technology industries. The company helps customers maximize revenue, drive growth, and reduce compliance risk by transforming their revenue lifecycle, from inefficient disjointed operations into a strategic end-to-end process.

Requirements

• Knowledge of scripting and programming languages, such as Python, Shell, Groovy, etc.
• 3+ years of hands-on AWS Cloud experience
• Solid knowledge of Linux operating systems (RHEL, CentOS)
• Experience in Java servlet application servers (Tomcat, JBoss)
• Knowledge of and experience in building & managing applications and system security under SIEM
• Solid knowledge of configuration management and orchestration tools (Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins)
• Team management experience
  

Will be a plus

• Expertise in configuring and managing common web servers (Apache, Nginx, HAProxy)
  
• Expertise in creating and maintaining proactive monitoring systems based on Nagios/Zabbix, Cloud Watch, etc.
  
• Deep knowledge of various CI/CD concepts
• Strong background in relational databases (Oracle)
• Deep understanding of SSL principles
• Ability to use Version Control systems (GitHub)
• Understanding of IaC concepts
• A team person with background in team management
• Experience in maintaining Docker infrastructure
• Experience with BI solutions (Cognos, Looker) and ETL (Informatica)

• Understanding of common enterprise management, maintenance, and support principles (ITIL ITSM)

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve configuration management and control systems
• Support and participate in automation of the monitoring stack (e.g. Zabbix, AlertLogic, Graylog)
• Sustain and execute standard operational procedures
• Be responsible for software rollouts, patches, and system upgrades
• Assist Engineering and QA in troubleshooting various environments
• Collect and analyze performance and utilization statistics to produce reports
• Participate in architectural-oriented meetings and build PoC solutions
• Test, maintain, and improve application and platform security
• Create comprehensive technical documentation
• Participate in the continuous deployment automation development (e.g. Ansible + Jenkins)
