Middle Ruby (Microservices) Engineer #6314

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Our client created a mobile platform that simplifies workflow automation and replaces outdated processes and expensive paperwork. The App works on smartphones and tablets. It helps to collect information across the organization, to share it instantly with others and gain real-time insights on business operations. Data can be customized by different types of businesses to empower their workforce, to unleash the value of data across the organization in order to create a better connection between colleagues and interact more effectively with customers. Our client has been successfully automating millions of workplace activities for well-known brands, like UnderArmour, Pepsi, Honda and Red Bull.

You will have a chance to:

• Take part in designing new microservice architecture in cloud
• Develop new microservices from a scratch
• Contribute to the high-loaded platform
• Identify and encourage areas for growth and development

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate actively in researches, discussions and decisions on software architecture and internal coding, architectural, process and other standards.
• Proactively raise technical risks and suggest measures against them
• Implement, review, support and debug required content
• Deliver high quality content within Scrum methodology
• Writing reusable, testable and efficient code
• Implementing security and data protection

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

MUST HAVE:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field/degree, and/or equivalent work experience
• Commercial Ruby on Rails/Ruby Dev experience, 4+ years
• Commercial experience with microservices architecture
• Unit testing experience
• Background in cloud services and distributed systems
• Proficient English level for communication (verbal & written)
• Can work with cross-team members on large and complex projects
• Can break down a complex situation and come up with an elegant solution

WOULD BE A PLUS:

• Think at scale, and with high availability
• Experience with high-loaded system, fault tolerance
• Experience with different methods of authentication and data encryption
• Experience with Sinatra framework and Sidekiq
• Experience with Redis and MySQL
• Security mindset to operate with sensitive data
