DevOps Engineer

The Boosteroid project is an innovative cloud platform that provides easy access to software and computing power and enables users to run any high-end game or app on any device, even an outdated Mac, cheap and low-performance PC or ultra-thin tablet. The platform operates on servers located in different countries and is already available in Europe and Western Asia. Currently Boosteroid is headquatered in the Arab Emirates and has the office in Ukraine. Our investors and partners are based all around Europe.

Today the project is already developed and the team is getting ready for the full-scale commercial launch. Boosteroid operates in Europe and Western Asia and we have a few years to make it available wherever there is the Internet connection. And that is why we are looking for DevOps engineer willing to help us with this challenge and make modern technology available for everyone together with Boosteroid.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in administering/DevOps in a Linux/Unix environment;
• Strong knowledge with solutions based on Linux systems and Cloud solutions;
• Robust skills with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab CI etc.;
• Experience with automatic deployment tools Docker, Ansible, (Kubernetes as plus), ;
• Experience with databases like: PostgresSQL, MySQL, DB Clustering etc;.
• Version Control: Experience administrating version control systems such as GIT;
• Solid scripting skills such as: Shell (Bash), Python, (JavaScript, VB Script, Windows Shell, Windows PowerShell will be considered as a big plus);
• Understanding of Networking: network topologies and common network protocols and services (DNS, HTTP (S), SSH, SMTP, IPMI);
• Knowledge of various monitoring tools (Grafana/ELK/Zabbix/ Prometeus/ CloudWatch etc.);
• Storage: lvm, ext*, xfs, nfs, rbd, ceph, FreeNas as plus.

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with the Development team and product managers to test system integrity;
• Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management;
• Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning;
• Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve;
• Provide technical guidance and educate team members and co-workers on development and operations;
• Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improvement development delivery;
• Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards;
• Manage CI and CD tools with team;
• Document and design various processes; update existing processes;
• Improve infrastructure development and application development.
