Translator (part-time)

Occupation: part-time, max 4 hours a day

People in Need (PIN) has been active in Ukraine since early August 2014 and the humanitarian programs have been rapidly expanding since then. Currently, PIN is one of the major humanitarian actors in Eastern Ukraine while providing neutral and independent humanitarian aid to conflict-affected people. So far PIN has implemented number of multi-purpose cash grants, Shelter, Protection, Livelihoods and WASH interventions and supported more than 2 mln vulnerable IDPs, returnees and host communities in both urban and rural locations. PIN's main donors in Ukraine currently include ECHO, OFDA, DFID and UNHCR.

Translator provides simultaneous and written translation upon request of PIN employees.

Main responsibilities:

• translate internal documents for all departments of PIN from/to Russian Ukrainian and English languages;
• responsible for correctness and completeness of information acquired;
• ensure timely and effective providing of the services and prompt providing of all relevant information to the person controlling the supplier;
• ensure nondisclosure of PIN confidential information and nondisclosure of staff/beneficiaries/other person personal data that he/she obtained in the process of providing services.

Requirements:

• Higher education in business administration, economics, social or humanitarian spheres
  
• Strong experience in translation (written and simultaneous), experience in NGO sector is desirable
  
• Good communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
