Big Data Solution Architect

Zoral, a leading provider of research and development to the software industry, is looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join its development center in Kyiv. The primary focus will be on analysis, choosing optimal solutions, designing and developing the integration approach of Zoral in a large-scale, complex programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide architecture and technology leadership across platform in Big Data and Google Cloud technologies
• Drive technical solutions development and issues resolution across customer and Zoral teams
• Build innovative Big Data solutions
• Build prototypes and Proofs-of-concept to validate ideas
• Help in transition from the current Data Analytics infrastructure to a high performance, scalable analytics platform
• Develop strategies for data migrations, data recovery and data availability
• Efficiently discuss and communicate technical architecture, design and implementation questions with customer and Zoral technical teams
• Monitor industry trends, directions, develop and present substantive technical data and database recommendations to the management

Skills and Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in information technology in the data space
• 2+ years of experience with data architecture and design in a technical leadership role
• Strong leadership skills with hands on data architecture and development experience
• Experience in Google Cloud, ETL, DWH and reporting implementations
• Strong Knowledge of Data Warehouse architecture and Data Integration concepts
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Pub/Sub, Dataflow, BigQuery, BigTable, Airflow, Apache Spark, Kafka, Python or Java
• Understanding of interfacing technologies like SOA, ESB ETL, RESTful API concepts, JSON, XML and SOAP
• Solid skills in relational databases - SQL, XML schemas and data modeling
• Experience with software systems architecture and design documenting data models using UML and/or ER diagram types
• Degree in computer sciences, mathematics, physics or related discipline
• Knowledge of MDM, ETL, data profiling, data archiving data synchronization, data migration, data integration and data storage design patterns
