Chief Accountant

Our Client, leading international company, is announcing an opening of Chief Accountant position.

Main responsibilities:

• managing and overseeing daily operations of accounting department;
  
• supervising, directing, and reviewing work of the accounting staff (including, but not limited to cash reconciliations, accounts receivable transactions, fixed asset activity, accounts payable transactions, recording of revenue and expenses);
  
• monitoring and analyzing accounting data within monthly, quarterly and yearly closing;
  
• analyzing and implementing recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance the workflow of the department;
  
• monitoring department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy;
  
• developing, tracking and monitoring the company's tax strategies in accordance with local tax legislation and internal company's policies;
  
• assuring company taxes are calculated and paid according to the local legislation including review and approval/signing of tax declarations;
  
• providing regular review of non-standard contracts to ensure tax risks mitigations and proper business support;
  
• working with transfer pricing function: monitoring transfer pricing results, recommending transfer pricing adjustments if results are out of range, and transfer pricing report coordination with consultants;
  
• managing ongoing monitoring of changes in the tax regulations and pro-active reaction on them;
  
• supporting management decisions from the tax perspective, including the development of recommendation on the most tax-efficient and risk-free options for business;
  
• coordinating work with outside tax advisors and tax auditors.
  

Main requirements:

• University Degree in Finance/Accounting;
  
• 3+ years' experience as Chief Accountant/Deputy Chief Accountant/District Accountant/Senior Accountant/Accounting manager preferably in a multinational company;
  
• excellent knowledge of Local Accounting Standards, Ukrainian taxation system, deferred taxation, practices, standards, laws, and regulations;
  
• computer literacy: MS Win, MS Excel, MS Word, accounting ERP systems;
  
• advance level of English;
  
• high attention to details and accuracy;
  
• strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  
• creativeness and readiness for innovations;
  
• good leadership, communication, and business development skills.
