Oracle Database Administrator

General description

The Database Specialist administers and oversees database implementations and design, in this case for on-premise for on-premise database clusters. He/she is responsible for database administration, performance monitoring and tuning, capacity planning, new database implementation, security, patches, and upgrades.

Required skills

• Domain experience: Database - Oracle, MongoDB, MariaDB, Hadoop, MS SQL, MySQL - at least one of them work experience over 1 year

• Should have strong Knowledge of the architecture and troubleshooting of Database Concepts / Features.

• Experience in ensuring backups of the backup farms.
• Proven experience in maintaining databases by performing regular maintenance of the databases.
• Candidate should demonstrate good communication and writing skills.
• Intermediate + English.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing, establishing and enforcing policies and standards for all the database activities, to ensure that they are consistent with industry best practices.
  
• Work to ensure that the associated hardware resources allocated to the databases and to ensure high resilience and performance tuning.
  
• Proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime
  
• Good knowledge in troubleshooting Performance Issues and Preparing RCA's.
  
• Develop stored procedures, triggers, indexes, and views in support of development projects.
