Accountant

Maersk is a global shipping industry leader. We’re looking for a savvy accountant to join our Finance team and directly support Chief Accountant in daily accounting responsibilities of a wide and developmental scope.

Description:

- Accounting of income/receivables: postings in 2 systems: 1C and SAP r/3;
- Invoicing/acts of acceptance/tax invoices to the clients (850 transactions per month).
- Uploading tax invoices to Medoc.
- Posting of bank statements in 1C and SAP on daily basis.
- Participation in closing of accounting books on monthly basis.
- Daily communication with Global Service Centre (located on Philippines) in respect of off-shored accounting task. Control and follow up of off-shored tasks.
- Handling of outgoing payments to vendors.
- Reconciliation of vendors/customers’ accounts.
- Reconciliation of 1C/ SAP r/3 accounts.
- Preparation of analytical reports for Country Finance Manager.
- Support to Chief Account in statutory reports preparation.

Profile:

- University degree in Accounting/Finance.
- Knowledge of Ukrainian Accounting Standards, familiarity or experience working under IFRS is an additional, strong asset.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience -good knowledge of 1 C and SAP R/3.
- Fluent English is required for smooth communication with HQ and Global Service Centre.
- ACCA/CIMA in progress is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills.
