This time, we’re looking for Middle QA Engineer to work with our client – a cool Scandinavian company.

Our client is working on developing ML driven software tools for assisting scientists throughout their challenging work endeavours. The ultimate goal is to build a fully fledged science assistant machine that can read and understand scientific articles. Our client current and future employees are building software that can read and understand text, build knowledge graphs and causal relations between documents, do inference on top to connect the dots and give suggestions for future innovation.

You will be leveraging the latest technologies Java 11, Protractor 7, Typescript 4. We are looking for someone to apply their technical skills, their passion for detail and the desire to guarantee the quality of the product. Combined with domain and product knowledge, will guarantee the most efficient planning, development, and execution of automation tasks that cover QA, CI / CD, application code and resource management. You will analyze project documentation to ensure a detailed understanding of business requirements and where necessary — potentially work with stakeholders to ensure completeness. You will play the user’s role to ensure company standards are met and smooth user experience.

Key aspects:

• In the first few weeks, you will be working with the rest of the team members to understand critical processes, technologies, and culture.
• Within approximately 1 month you will be fully onboarded with our technology stack, processes, and product business logic.
• You will then work independently with our team, to understand in detail the requirements and to be able to enrich the test strategy with which to deliver a quality product. You will be able to give and implement various ideas for improvements to the current test structure and ensure continuous improvement of your technical skills.
• You will be working in an agile process in a distributed team with limited connectivity.
• Develop his/her own skills and take responsibility for own personal development in the field.

What we’re looking for:

• 2+ years of related experience
• Experience in designing, implementing, executing test plan & test cases
• General programming knowledge — object-oriented principles, design patterns
• Experience in the development and enforcement of testing policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure a consistent testing framework across all products in the team
• Execute the agreed set of test cases, in line with the Test Plan and development project schedule, clearly and accurately reporting test results for quality and progress
• Expand our existing test automation framework and test coverage
• Track test gaps, quality, and productivity metrics in an automated manner
• Ability to present and transfer knowledge to others
• Ability to work in a distributed team environment
• Proficient analytical / problem-solving skills
• Good level of English (both spoken and written)

Bonus:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar
• Interest or experience in AI/ML technologies and/or their testing
• Experience with writing automated end-to-end tests with Protractor
• Experience with building web projects or other software projects from scratch
• Participation in research projects (academic or industrial)
