In-country distribution specialist

Bayer Ltd, a leading multinational company, is opening a position of In-country distribution specialist, Supply Chain, Crop Science division

Major tasks and responsibilities:

Transport Management:

•Coordination and execution of shipments of commercial seeds and crop protection products as well as samples and demo seeds by using TMS where applicable

•Coordination of activities with in-country logistics partners and monitoring their performance

•Ensuring all logistic transactions are in line with Local Transportation Rules and company policies & procedures

•Preparation of PO for transport suppliers & invoices management of transports cost & administrative tasks connected to the agreement with logistics partners

•Daily follow up and tracking of deliveries to customers and internal movements

•Follow up of demo/samples shipments, communication with respective stakeholders

Management of in-country DC’s:

•Inventory management to secure adherence to FEFO/FIFO rules

•Responsible for physical inventory and monthly stock reconciliation of country Distribution Centers

•Inventory monitoring in main DCs and consignment stocks, preventing from product shortage, stock taking in both main DC’s as well as consignment stocks

•Coordination of destruction of approved D&O, expired stocks & waste management according to the country specific regulations, reporting to the authorities on recycling and recovery limits

•Invoices Management of Transports and Warehouses Cost

•Resolving delivery related complaints, properly submitting to the system, following up with respective stakeholders

•Display a strong sense of urgency in researching, tracking & correcting shipment problems to resolve issues in a timely & cost effective manner

•Monitor inventory to assess accuracy, utilization and minimizing non-essential movements, in a well effective stock replenishment at designated warehouses

•Daily follow up and tracking of deliveries to customers and internal movements

•Transportation and Loading reporting

Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal skills essential to effectively interact with all teams internally as well as with external partners
• High sense of responsibility, self-motivation and result – orientation Understanding the financial impact of the decisions made and having an approach on thinking in a continuous improvement mindset.
• Strong analytical skills 
• Presentation skills 
• Languages: fluency in native and English
• Software: experience in SAP (preferable), proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Office, TMS (JDA)
• Bachelor Degree in Logistics or related education in Supply Chain
• 2-3 + years experience in a similar position with strong experience in Logistics, Customs activities, Freight forwarding industry
