Translator(Interpreter), English-Ukrainian-Russian translation, French-Ukrainian-Russian ( Kyiv)

Egis Ukraina LLC  is a subsidiary of Egis International, a French leading consulting and engineering company that provides its activities in the field of major transport infrastructure, water, energy, environment as well as urban development, buildings and industrial projects.

Egis is looking for the Secretary/Interpreter who will be a member of our project office team in Kyiv. You must know how to read and write fluently in  English, Ukrainian and Russian, as well as understand how to translate industry terminology effectively. We expect our translators to work quickly and produce accurate documentation by the specified deadlines, also excellently perform secretarial duties. We prefer candidates who have at least five years of professional Secretary/Interpreter experience, especially in a similar industry.

To be successful as a translator you should be able to think quickly and have a firm understanding of the field in which you will be translating. An excellent translator should be able to translate information that is contextually accurate.

Qaulifications:

• BSc in Translation, Interpreting or similar field
• Proven work experience as a Translator, Secretary/Interpreter
• English-Ukrainian-Russian translation \ of relevant experience
• Expertise in translation of technical documents (specialization in one or a couple of technical fields would be a plus)
• Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling and punctuation errors
• Ability to meet agreed upon the deadline
• Excellent administrative and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Written Translation (Language pairs: English – Ukrainian, Ukrainian – English, English – Russian, Russian –English) 
• Read given material and research industry-specific terminology
• Follow up with internal team members and clients to ensure translation meets their needs
• Ensure translated content conveys original meaning 
• Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling and punctuation accuracy
• Interpret meetings
• Work independently or in a team setting that is a fast paced /changing environment, while demonstrating the level of detail required completing tasks accurately and efficiently
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing while demonstrating good grammar, spelling and punctuation skills
• Organize and prioritize work to complete all assigned tasks within time frame required
