Junior Data Engineer

Maxitech is looking for an motivated, proactive, self-driven Junior Data Engineer to join the team.

Maxitech is a R&D office of large international holding, building a portfolio of products linked to each other with the business goals they are addressing.

Maxitech R&D team's target is developing software solutions maximizing the performance of the core business. Current team size is 250+ employees. We are looking for experts ready to bring their knowledge and contribute to building the new, best-in-the class software product. Our company headquarter is in Israel. We also have offices in 8 locations worldwide. R&D team is fully concentrated in Kiev.

Required skills

• 6+ months of relevant experience (including part time projects)
• Good knowledge of T-SQL
• Understanding the concepts and design principles of Data Warehouses, Data Marts, Data Lakes
• Understanding of BI solutions architecture and design approaches
• Intermediate+ English level

As a plus

• PCEP Python Certification 
• Querying Data with Transact-SQL certification
• Some experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, QlickView) 
• TFS, git

Responsibilities

• Contribute to BI product development for brokerage industry (10+ international clients)
• Dealing with variety of data sources (20+) based on AWS SQS, Rest API, relational databases
• Implement changes in ETL processes (adding tables to staging or adding new attribute to DWH table)
• Willingness to adopt Python for ETL, predictive analytics and data visualization purposes
• Contribute to Data Warehouse development based on SQL Server 2019
• Develop DAX measures for SQL Server Analysis Services Tabular models 
• Update and maintain existing reports and dashboards using Power BI 
• Help with data quality issue identification and data quality logic improvements
