Senior Network Consultant (Azure)

Itera is looking for a Senior network Consultant with a wide experience within IT operations, system engineering, to join distributed customer projects. Strong technical background, problem analysis skills as well as good communications skills are essential. The qualified candidate will be in close cooperation with various other project and operations teams to maintain and improve existing processes and solutions to guarantee reliability of underlying environments. Especially be focused on Cloud Technologies and primarily on Azure.

As a service owner within the network department in Itera, you will play a key role in our central network team, which is responsible for our core network and various customer solutions. 

You will have the opportunity to:

• Be a part of our Cloud Center of Excellence initiative with responsibility for cloud related Network solutions mostly based on Azure
• Assist in planning Migrations from on-prem solutions to Azure and the future maintenance of these solutions
• Participate in major projects and other customer deliveries and provide Customers with consultation and advice
• Be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of networks, systems, hardware, software, and related infrastructure
• Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure
• Configure and manage Switches, Routers, Wireless Access Controllers, and other networking devices
• Troubleshoot or assists other consultants with troubleshooting the technical problems associated with Servers, Hardware, Network Connectivity, and Application performance

Professional requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of network infrastructure and network security support
• Hands-on experience with Azure is required:
  1. Architecting Azure Solutions
  2. Migrating on Prem solutions to Azure
  3. Operational Support on Azure
• Azure Certification required
• Cisco or Fortinet certification required.
• Experience managing Fortinet and/or Cisco firewalls desired.
• BIG IP hands on experience is nice to have.
• Advanced knowledge in Firewalls, IPS, and other security solutions
• Advanced knowledge of tool/sets for management and monitoring of network resources.
• Advanced knowledge and Hands-on experience with firewalls, routing, subnets, managing VLANs
• Packet capture analysis skills
• Deep understanding of NAT, route maps, routing policies, and IPSEC VPN
• Aptitude and desire to learn new technologies.
• Deep technical expertise in Network, System Administration, and Security in a Windows environment
• Ability to analyze complex technical needs, assist to build project plans and oversee implementation with user impact and systems availability as top priorities.
• Must have a passion for providing excellent customer support to all types of customers as well as impeccable verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with cloud migration projects is a plus.
