Tools Programmer (C++, UE4)

Game development studio 4A Games Ukraine is looking for Tools Programmer to join our team to take part in development of unannounced multiplatform AAA shooter (PC/Consoles).

 Responsibilities

Tools Programmer’s key responsibilities will be to develop and integrate tools and plug-ins for the Unreal Engine 4 used by designers, artists, animators and other team members to create levels, assets and other game components:

• Development and integration of the development toolkits in collaboration with other departments.
• Improvement and optimization of the existing tools in collaboration with other departments.
• Supporting other departments in fixing bugs and functionality issues of the existing tools.
• Creating technical documentation.

 Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in commercial software development using C++.
• University degree in programming or applied mathematics.
• Understanding of the game content creation processes in modern game development.
• Writing well-structured and readable code.
• Understanding, editing and improving someone else’s code.
• Problem-solving attitude.
• The ability to work in a team.
• Self-motivation and self-organization.

 Preferences

• Experience with various game engines (UE4/CryEngine/Unity/etc).
• Understanding of Photoshop, Substance Designer, ZBrush, Marvelous Designer.
• Understanding of SVN.
• Experience with consoles.
• Ability to work with documentation in English. 
• Passion for games.
