Senior NetOps Engineer

Infopulse Ukraine is inviting talented professionals to join our project as a Senior NetOps Engineer for our respectful customer BICS.

We are looking for engineers with experience in SDN, scripting, automation and the general new CI/CD development practices, NetOps/GitOps model, with experience in multiple platforms and tools in network automation, not limited to one technology. Perfect candidate has strong and proven experience in networking and security design, delivery and operations; and is able to leverage those foundational skills in an environment combining multiple skills to deliver projects end-to-end within the team.

Areas of Responsibility

• Assure network availability/quality and perform repair actions together with internal teams and external parties
• End-to-end ownership over projects in the platform and product backlogs, covering design, implementation and operations
• Continuously follow the technical evolution of the network taking part in network deployment projects
• Implement changes on Firewalls to allow or deny requested flows
• Follow IP Transit related activities (upstreams and peerings configuration, maintenance)
• Take part in a guard duty service to support our 24/7 organization, interact with customers
• Monitoring with modern solutions: nagios, zabbix, Prometheus, Splunk, etc.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in electronics, informatics or telecommunication
• 5 years of relevant work experience in Telecom/Internet service provider environment or vendor
• Solid knowledge of TCP/IP stack including MP-BGP, IS-IS, MPLS, IP security and L2 switching technologies
• Cisco/Nokia/Alcatel certified at Professional/Expert level or equal through experience
• Being a team player, have customer focus, passionate about quality

Will be an advantage

• Experience with F5, VMWare, Checkpoint
• Being comfortable with Linux, scripting and programming skills
• Knowledge/Experience with CI/CD (automated testing, version control)
