C++/Qt Software Developer - UAV / drones

Evolve Dynamics is a UK / England based engineering company specializing in unmanned aerial vehicles, systems and software. We have complex work processes and systems that require further development and optimization, as well as new projects that begin regularly.

We are looking for a responsible, talented and proactive Software Developer to join our team.

Required skills:

• Proficiency in C++ (10+ years);
• Previous coding experience on Qt/QML (3+ years);
• Experience with Linux and ability to work with it (10+ years);
• Networking (on Linux) — TCP/IP, UDP, routing, netcat, etc. (basic level);
• Development tools: GIT;
• Security, firewalls, SSH etc. (basic level);
• Intermediate English (emails, write technical documentation, video conferences with UK team).

Desirable skills (but not required):

• Software development for Android (intermediate);
• Understanding of hardware in general;
• GPIO processing (on an SBC);
• OpenCV;
• Radio system;
• Video processing, H264, H265, gstreamer;
• Debian packages system.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Designing (with UK customer facing team) and developing features and functions for the ground control and airborne systems - for existing and upcoming new products and add ons. Data processing and interpretation modules. Integrating new modules - hardware, radio, sensors.

Working conditions:

• Interview — online via Skype;
• Test tasks (paid) may be applied;
• Remote work from home and some office meetings;
• Working hours — 5 days a week, full time;
• Trial period: 3 months;
• Trips to UK upon completion of probation; 
• Training will be provided.
