PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Our customer is now looking for a DevOps Engineer who will build, implement and support next generation system automation solution. Perform analysis standard methodologies and emerging concepts in DevOps, Infrastructure Automation, and Enterprise Security. We prioritize in cross functional development teams in which continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing is part of the daily work.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Automating the administration of Linux servers by: provisioning, installation, software packaging, service configuration and integration with monitoring platform
• Development of tools to instrument internal support and operational processes
• Work closely with Engineering and Operations to develop an end to end automated platform
• Participate as a full member of the development team, taking primary direction from the engineering manager.
• Evangelize scalable operational practices and create automation to enforce these ideals.
• Act as a consultant to development on infrastructure, scalability, monitoring, operational process, infrastructure efficiency and release process.
• Create & maintain runbooks for different services deployment.
• Monitoring automation; make sure that the correct monitors are deployed at the application level so that any failures can be quickly detected and repaired.
• Responding to support requests from development teams to assist with troubleshooting issues.
• Making sure that development teams are not blocked on infrastructure requests.

Must have:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field/degree
• 2+ years of DevOps experience
• Software development (C#/Java/Javascript/Go/Bash/Powershell)
• Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD process using tools like Git, GITHub, Gerrit, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Spinnaker etc
• Experience with Ansible, Kubernetes, Helm, Chef
• Expertise in Linux System Admin and Bash Scripting
• VMs and Containers using tools such as Docker, Vagrant, Kubernetes
• Experience with networking (TCP/IP, Firewalls, network management, reverse proxy (nginx), load balancing, VRRP, IPTables, Calico/CNI, VPN, netcat/tcpdump/Wireshark)
• Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools for Continuous Integration and Delivery
• Experience with systems and IT operations.
• Comfort with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment
• Strong grasp of automation tools
• Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching beyond functional borders to seek knowledge
• Sufficient English level for communication (verbal & written)
• Fast research and learning skills

Would be a plus:

• Experience in building/maintaining Continuous Integration Openstack and cloud experience
• Experience in writing software packaging and deploying into a fully automated environment.
• Previous experience in Database Systems (MySQL, Postgres)
• Experience with high-loaded system, fault tolerance
• Can work with cross-team members on large and complex projects
• Experience in developing Application with Java and J2EE
• Experience in the following languages: Java, Java Script, JSON, YAML, XML/XSLT , Python
