Security Architect/Security Consultant

DataArt is looking for a strong senior developer/architect with security skills to provide technical security consulting to clients and development teams and to cover technical security aspects in software development projects.

Responsibilities

• Participate in software solution design by covering security aspects: documenting security architecture, developing security requirements and guidelines, answering technical client questionnaires, etc.
• Coordinate and fulfil security activities during software development projects: ad-hoc team security consulting, architecture and compliance reviews, coordination of security testing activities, cloud/hosting security, executive reporting, etc.
• Perform internal audits of development teams covering software security, hosting security and operational security
• Promote secure development practices within the company, help with creation of educational and marketing materials

Required Skills and Experience

• Fluent English
• Multi-tasking, ability to switch contexts quickly
• Ability to learn and evaluate new software products/technologies quickly
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software development, strong programming skills with any modern programming language, and architect and team leadership capabilities
• Familiarity with a broad range of technologies used in modern software development
• Familiarity and experience with network-level and application-level security controls and mechanisms
• Ability to work well with customers, self-manage though difficult situations, be focused on client satisfaction

Additional Competencies

• Security certifications (e.g. OSCP, GIAC, CEH, CompTIA, etc.)
• Familiarity with common security standards (PCI DSS, ISO 27000, etc.)
• Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing
• Experience with open-source and commercial security tools
• Ability to deliver presentations at industry conferences and the ability to write blog posts
