Background:

People in Need (PIN) is a Czech international non-governmental organization, that is present in more than 20 countries has been active in Ukraine since 2014, and the humanitarian programs have been rapidly expanding since then. Currently, PIN is one of the major humanitarian actors in Eastern Ukraine while providing neutral, impartial and independent humanitarian aid to conflict-affected people.

General information about the role of the person

Translator provides support in written and simultaneous translation services for the organization in general. He/she closely cooperates with all operations and programs departments of organization.

Main responsibilities:

  • provide translation of project documentation from/to Russian Ukrainian and English languages;
  • provide translation of operational documentation from/to Russian Ukrainian and English languages;
  • provide simultaneous translation during meetings on request from/to Russian Ukrainian and English languages;
  • responsible for correctness and completeness of information provided;
  • ensure timely and effective providing of the services and prompt providing of all relevant information to the person, who control over supplier;

Requirements:

  • Higher education in business administration, economics, social or humanitarian spheres
  • Strong experience in translation (written and simultaneous), experience in NGO sector is desirable
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

PIN OFFERS:

  • Salary as per PIN salary scale: 702 USD GROSS (before taxation) (737 USD GROSS (before taxation) after 3-month's probation period)
